OhmHour Is Shutting Down
For those of you who read my first book, A Real Money Book: A Beginner's Guide to Passive Income, I have some sad news: OhmConnect, the service behind OhmHour, is shutting down. If you're not familiar, OhmHour was a program where you agreed not to use power during peak energy hours, and in exchange, they paid you. So you got two things: lower electricity bills, plus cash on top.
I have fond memories of OhmHour nights, sitting in the dark and finding other things to do, going for a walk, or picking up a book. So really there was a third benefit: it nudged me to change some habits.
Anyway, that's just one of several things in the book that are now out of date. The good news is I'm planning to put out a revised edition in 2027, so keep an eye out for that. In the meantime, check out my new book, Your Money Journey.
